Outer Banks Restaurants: Some Recommendations on the Ones You Should Try
You would like to go out for dinner, but with over 200 Outer Banks restaurants (one site had it at 216) to choose from, which one should you choose? I racked my brain on how to do this page. Do I try to do a review on all 200+? That seemed like a futile task, so I had another idea.
How about if I tell you about the three restaurants that we like the best, whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and then you decide. Then I had another idea, and that was to get some of the people that I know that either live or have vacationed in the Outer Banks over a number of years to write me a short blurb on their three favorite
Do you have a favorite restaurant in the Outer Banks?
Outer Banks restaurants. After all, if an insider hadn't told me about what is now our favorite restaurant, we certainly would never have found it in Kill Devil Hills NC. For each of the people that have agreed to give me their three favorites, I will give you a brief blurb on them and a link to their favorites. I will note what town and whether they prefer this Outer Banks restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If it is noted for one or the other, it is not because it is good for only one and not the others, only that we or the recommender haven’t had the other meal there … just trying to keep it real.
The next set of recommendations is from Rick Steckiel and his family. Rick is a friend and a co-worker I have spent many a business trip together overseas. Rick and his family have been going to the southern part of the Outer Banks, mostly Avon NC, for nine years.

Tara Burlage offered to provide her recommendations for favorite Outer Banks restaurants. Tara lives and works in the Outer Banks, and has been going to the Outer Banks since she was little. Tara is an Outer Banks realtor working for BD&A. We met Tara when we started exploring the possibility of building a house in the Outer Banks. Tara worked with us through the entire process, with her cornerstone strength being her tenacity in making the deal happen. Her insights proved invaluable during the
build process.
We hit it off well with Tara because we met Tara, who is a Virginia Tech graduate, right when Laura, our oldest daughter, was heading off to Virginia Tech.

Craig Kilgore also offered to provide his three favorite restaurant recommendations. Craig moved to the Outer Banks in 1977. Craig currently owns Three Seas, Inc., the company that takes care of the pool and hot tub at our

Spouse and I don't get the chance to visit the Outer Banks as often as we used to, but the Jolly Roger in Kill Devil Hills is a must when we do visit....
