Our Most Memorable OBX Experience....The Chicken Run

We have been going to OBX for almost ten years and our tradition is a funny one. When we are sitting in traffic on the bridge over to OBX on the first day, we pass a rubber chicken from car to car in our caravan. We have nicknamed this event the chicken run. We wave our chickens out the window blaring and dancing signaling the start of a good vacation.

That's a New One ...

I haved to admit, that is a new "tradition", but I fully get the euphoria when you finally reach the Wright Memorial Bridge (although I would not have thought about passing a chicken from car to car). I would love to see the reaction of the drivers not in the caravan. The looks on their faces must be priceless.
