I'd like to see some river otters on my visit in a couple of weeks. I saw one at Pea Island once. Any other sites where I'd be "assured" to see some?

Only one "assured" place" ...

Hi David,

Sorry for the delay in getting this posted. The only "assured" place is the NC Aquarium (just kidding), but I know you meant in the wild.

Pea Island is a good place, as well as Oregon Inlet. In addition, they have been spotted in Pamlico Sound along Hatteras Island and Ocracoke. People have told me that the Village of Hatteras is a good spot to find them.

This may seem like a strange idea, but you may want to check in at the local bait shop wherever you are staying, because they will likely be able to give you more up to date information, rather than just general area information.
