my own "Nights in Rodanthe" story...

the rocks may melt and the seas may burn

I met a new friend online through Flickr (a photosharing site) and when he told me he had a vacation at Outer Banks in Rodanthe, I mentioned how I loved OBX (I had vacationed in Manteo once). He asked me if I'd like to join him. I was a bit wary as we had only chatted on Facebook a few times...

After a conversation with my 17 year old daughter, she encouraged me to make the 12 hour trip from Cincinnati to Rodanthe in September 2009.

It was the most perfect vacation I have ever had.

We fell in love. Hopefully, it will last forever.

The Magic of the Outer Banks...

That is a most touching and amazing story, Cynthia. What a bold move! I hope it works out for you. It is amazing what a special place, like teh Outer Banks, can bring to an enchanted encounter. Best of luck to both of you.

I got lost in the story for a moment, but the picture is also amazing. Nothing like the spectacular fury of the ocean.
