I've been visiting the Outer Banks for years, coming down from Toronto, Canada to windsurf in the spring and fall. When I'm not sailing I'm usually taking pictures. On a recent visit to the Pea Island Preserve I managed to spend some time with a Louisiana heron who did not seem to mind being photographed.
