two of my best friends and i are 18 and just want to get out of town for the weekend! can we rent one on our own?

Hi Kate,

Thank you for your question. In order to rent a house on the Outer Banks, you will need to be 25. This is required by the State of North Carolina and written into every rental agreement for all rental companies. In order for you to be able to "rent" a house, you will need someone (parent) to sign the lease and you will need to find a rental company and rental house owner willing to rent to you.

Nonfamily groups have been traditionally put off in the Outer Banks, because they do not want a "Senior Week" or "Spring Break" mentality happening on OBX.

Here are some guidelines for Non-Family Groups, but even these do not guarantee that they will rent a house to you.
